    • Patient education (PE) is an essential component of healthcare service provision. Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) such as physiotherapists and radiographers are key players in healthcare. Most PE-focused research has examined the role of nurses and physicians, ignoring the contributions of AHPs in PE. Besides, most AHP-related studies have been done in developed countries. This study looked at the role of AHPs in PE provision in Malawi. Factors influencing the provision of PE services were identified, and suggestions for maximizing the involvement of AHPs in PE provision were elicited.
